Our operations

Restaurant Trallen is located in Gustavsgården, which is a nursing home centrally located in Gustavsberg, Värmdö.

We serve our 101 residents breakfast, lunch, afternoon coffee, and dinner daily. A large part of what we prepare is made from scratch. Our restaurant is also open to the public. We also offer catering and larger events occasionally. We are open every day of the year.

Gustavsgården is a residence for the elderly with significant care needs. The residence consists of three units with a total of 101 apartments. Each resident has a contact person in the staff group who can assist the resident in various respects. Our operations focus on the values: competence, flexibility, security, and clarity. Gustavsgården is centrally located in Gustavsberg, easily accessible by bus from Slussen in about 30 minutes.

It is important that you master the Swedish language in both speech and writing as you will be working in an open kitchen and meeting our residents and staff daily in your work. The kitchen staff at Gustavsgården is a close-knit team with an open atmosphere, where laughter and joy are a natural part of the work shift and where everyone helps each other and values good cooperation.

Your mission

We now need to strengthen the team with one more person. We are looking for a chef who can step in as needed. In the role of chef, your tasks will include food preparation/cooking, salad buffet, baking, serving, stocking supplies, cleaning, helping with dishes, etc.

We are a close-knit group that helps each other in all areas within the kitchen/large-scale catering. You work in an open kitchen and will therefore meet our residents and staff daily. We are looking for someone with previous experience working in a large kitchen or restaurant, and it is an advantage if you have prior experience working in a nursing home. The position is based on an hourly basis and during times when the restaurant needs reinforcement, such as during illness, holidays like Christmas/New Year, and during the summer. The restaurant is also open on weekends, so weekend work may occur.

Your experience

We are looking for someone with a high school education in food, such as the food program or equivalent. We also see that you have a minimum of 3 years of work experience in similar roles. It is important that you have experience specifically in large kitchens. You have good knowledge of allergens, special diets, HACCP, self-control, and food hygiene/handling. You are of course good at cooking and have a genuine interest in cooking.
